At Awakast, experienced engineers make the decisions and AI agents do the heavy lifting. I'm an engineer myself, and I still build the agents that handle parts of our own operations. That's where we work out what works: how to split work between people and agents, how to check what agents produce and how to keep it secure. Clients get that know-how from day one, with an engineer who leads their project and is responsible for the result.

Why we work this way

AI made writing code cheap. It didn't make good software cheap: deciding what to build, getting it right with real users and data, and keeping it running still take experienced people.

So we changed how we work. Our experienced engineers lead every project and answer for every decision, and they work with AI agents that research, write and test code, prepare documentation and watch systems in production. Product and interface design comes from partner designers we've worked with for years. Projects that used to need a large team now need a small, experienced one, and they move faster.

We tried it on ourselves first. AI agents look after our websites, our data, our CRM and our daily reporting, inside written rules about what they may do alone and what needs a person's yes. We write about how that works, including what went wrong.
